Campus Facilities

Getting to Norwich
London Stansted is the nearest major airport (65 miles) and there is a regular bus service from Stansted to Norwich city centre which takes a couple of hours. Gatwick and Heathrow Airports are rather further away. The airport bus also operates between these most distant airports, the University of East Anglia and Norwich city centre, but it can be a long and tedious journey! The alternatives in both cases are to hire a car or take the train to central London (115 miles from Norwich), the underground train to Liverpool Street Station and a train to Norwich. The London to Norwich journey time is approx. 2 hours. It can be slower on Sundays and parts of the journey could be by bus if engineering works are taking place. Norwich Airport is by far the most convenient option because it is just a short taxi ride away from the University. It can be an expensive destination, but for international flights please do consider flying with KLM (and KLM partners e.g. Air France and North West) to Amsterdam and get a connecting flight to Norwich. There are some really good deals available with KLM where the cost of the Amsterdam-Norwich leg of the journey is very low. Trains from mainland Europe – with the Channel tunnel this can be convenient and cost-effective (.............and less polluting!!). Ferriesalso operate between Harwich and the Hook of Holland, Hamburg and Esbjerg.
